Ya, this does not sound mutual to me.

Get your friends together, pay some strippers, and have a breakup party!

Sounds like she did right by you, unless there is something she's not telling you/you're not telling us.

In my opinion, just let her know, things aren't working now, but just to protect yourself, you're breaking your ties with her. There could be a time in the future when you two meet again, get to talking and it could work out, but if she can't make the decision now, then you have an obligation to yourself, your friends and family to try to move on so that you don't drag them down with you.

Then do just that, its going to be hard not to think about her, but start doing some other things to get your mind off of things. One of the things that worked out great for me was just leaning back in a nice leather recliner with a drink and think about the good times. Yea, it choked me up, but you know what, there were good times and I'd toast her for sharing em with me. Modify as needed, maybe a close friend to share a drink with, a family member, whatever.

If you were closer, I'd love to lean back with a drink in hand and swap stories with ya.

Thanks Kel. I actually sent her an email earlier that said almost exactly that. Right now I think it's finally sinking in, and I can barely get one clear thought in without her popping back into my head.
