yeah, i was gonna suggest to talk to her about what your limit should be... i'm spending about $50 or so on my bf of 3 months... he spent $265...

My girlfriend and I have been together for about 2 years, and I spent about $90 on her gift. It's more than I usually spend...I'm usually much cheaper!

don't worry about what you're gonna get her, i think you first should lie to her that you're spending around 200 bucks, then suddenly talk about things that you find cool, like an XboX or a palm, or whatever you like. After you feel that you are convinced she'll get you whatever you want then you use that gift as a bench mark for the price range you'll spend.

However, after hearing that you spent 200 on her so far and she still doesn't seem to want to spend that much, then make your max 50.

I think $100 max is OK. If you like her a lot then spend more.

Last Christmas a girl I didn't even know that well gave me $50 plus a gift card. I thought we were just friends/on a Christmas-card basis. I ended up buying something for her and gave it her after Christmas but she refused. I felt like such a tool :(

I say $40 is a GOOD gift for that short a relationship. $50 would be the max ceiling. A very nice dinner together some place, perhaps with one of those little xmas bears and a card should cover things.

I have the emergency present. I have a gift that just carries over for christmas, birthdays, whatever. It is VERY usefull. Get something generic like maybe a big stuffed animal or something and you'll never feel like that again.

They should make a compartment for those in car trunks, next to the spare tire :)

She was 20 or 21 (I'm horrible) at the time and I don't think she was into stuffed animals. First I got her a gift card at the Banana Republic and some Barney's coffee, but my sister told me it wasn't a good idea, exchanging gift cards. So I bought her a sweater (but ended up having to return it). I kept the coffee though.

Yeah, that's something I've been wondering, too. I've been seeing this girl since Thanksgiving (I'm not sure I'd even call it a relationship yet, but we're going out and having a good time as 'more than friends.') I've no idea what to do about Xmas...at this point who knows if we'll even be together by the time it rolls around...although it's looking good.

My GF and I have been dating for about 3 months, and I am spending around $50 on her. Hope that helps

Good idea, I was browsing for a winter cap in Kings Plaza mall in Brooklyn over the weekend. While I was there I noticed a new Victoria's Secret store. Cuda, get her something from a lingerie store. It's a Win-Win situation for you both. ;)

get her a whole bunch of condoms. It is a Win-Win situation for you both ;)

2 months is not a relationship, it is pure unadulterated lust. There is nothing wrong with lust, but be aware that lust does not equal a relationship.:p

As to how much to spend on her for X-mas, as you call it, just drop two quarters in one of those gumball looking machines at the local arcade, twist the handle and give her the plastic bauble that falls out.:D

You really like treating us (younger atot'ers) as if we're little children. We need to take our naps, know when to keep quiet and when to suck on our sickle. You excruciatingly describe the situation as in which we should solve all our problems. Tell me old man....what makes you so right? :p

who the heck sucks on a sickle?

WTH is walleye doing in that forum? I thought the prerequistic to register was to name an actual girl you know and have had physical contact with. How did he do that?

That gets you Elite. Qualifications are just that you want to have physical contact with said girl. :D
