if she's an exotic dancer, she's probably used to men throwing money at her for misc. reasons....i'd suggest doing something the complete opposite....tell him to prepare dinner at his place....(shows effort)....then take her to a comedy show or some theatrical exhibition...that way he can say he's actually interested in her and not just her looks...then he can show off his sensitive side w/ dinner, and who knows what's next....

What do you expect for posting in the middle of the night...we're growing. ;)

I wouldn't do dinner/movie. Find some things she likes, even hobbies, and head to someplace that showcases some of that. Then go to dinner afterward. Being able to talk/walk at first seems to loosen up the mood w/o having to worry about what to order, talking with your mouth full and making sure not to make yourself look like a slob when eating. ;)

A great place around where I live is Fire and Ice, where you just grab the food raw from a huge lineup of stuff and take it to the grill, where they cook it for you. It's a little bit louder than I'd like, but it's a nice place. There isn't a location in the DC area, but if you could find something similar in your area, that would do nicely.

if she's an exotic dancer, tell your friend to just skip dinner and date part and go right to...

If any guy pulled that off on any girl, he would never hear from her again. That's not a sweet thing to do, thats pathetic and strange.

Not really. I'm sure you can speak for "any guy" and "any girl." Hahaha.

Just personally I know my gf would like something like that.

Something that gives them both time to talk yet something thats really fun that doesnt put pressure on both of them. Thanx! Oh yea, she's an exotic dancer if that helps with anything.

Serious suggestions only, please. I'd actually like him to visit this thread and get something out of it.

"My friend" meaning you? :p

Maybe a burger joint. Not dressy, good food, and you can (sorry, your friend) relax.

A "friend" huh...

You can't beat dinner and a movie, something she wants to see, for a first date.

When I met my current GF I had planned to take her out to dinner on Sunday, but as she worked later than expected, all the places were closed. We went by the grocery store to pick up a few items and then I cooked @ home. I didn't get any that night, but it got the ball rolling and now it doesn't stop! :p

Japanes restaurant might not be a good idea since you probably want to be able to talk, and in there the guy's always doing some trick and cooking in front of you.
