Honestly, at least you nipped this in the bud relatively early. I know it sucks now, but imagine having this happen 8 years down the road when you're married with children. Complete train wreck.

But that's alright though, once you get little older youll look back and realize the the same thing i just said. Engagements at that age have life expectancy of a 6pack on friday night.

1. Why the hell are you engaged to a woman at 18? Establish a career before you even consider marriage. If you marry too early, you WILL regret it. You, or your wife, will end up cheating on the other because between 18-25 you should be out having fun. Try out different women and find the right one, not the first one who'll put out.

2. Never trust a woman with a guy friend. Women are stupid when it comes to platanic relationships. Frankly, platanic relationships rarely work. Most men don't want JUST a woman's friendship. What does he have to gain by being her friend? And how often do platanic relationships end up in flings or more? You probably won't realize it now but one day, you'll realize this is the best thing that has happened to you. It's better than marrying her then divorcing her after she cheats on you. Hell, you'll even pay alimony and possibly child support if you wait too long before getting that divorce.

That is a great song after a break up! I ended a 10 month relationship not long ago (no cheating) and within days had downloaded that song and assigned it to my ex as her ringer. So everytime she calls a nudey picture of her pops up and that Eamon song plays. LOL!

that's so true. Too early to get tied down. At 18, people haven't even fully experienced college yet and we all know how life-changing that can be. You have a LONG while to hook up with someone more faithful and looking for the same things you are. Other than being heartbroken for a little while... Your first love moments are fleeting and flittering away. Life sucks, but it gets better.

Not that I agree with all of this, but it's the extremely rare case that a high school sweetheart marriage goes the distance. The most successful ones are those where both go away to school, probably screw half the campus or not (don't ask don't tell is a great policy here) and get all the mystery of love and life out of their heads.

I would not think of her as messing up her life due to doing this...you have to honestly realize if she had it so well off she probably would not have strayed. Figure out what went wrong on your end (and if you think nothing, think some more...noone is perfect)....
