In any case, of course that is a date. I'm surprised it's being debated.I didn't know that some people don't even consider that a date.
For those of you who said you do that all the time, the mistake you made was the intention. He didn't say lets have coffee for study. He said, let's go for coffee. This was after his finals. I think intention is what makes a date. Coffee is just a different level of dating. It isn't indepth. It's looking at the surface to see if you two would be more interested in a relationship.
