A friend of mine (who shall remain nameless... let's call him... Mr. X) started talking with a girl in one of his classes during a break. In the process of the conversation, he asked her to go out to coffee after their final next Thursday.

Now, we are in the midst of a disagreement, about whether or not that constitutes a date, and whether or not she is "interested" in him. So, to satisfy a dare and a jest, I ask the AT community.

(sorry for the low quality of my post, I normally try to keep my posts to as high a quality as I can)

Evan, you know who I'm talking about. :p

doesn't qualify as a date in my book...but that might just be me. I have a lot of female friends and am very open with them (flirty with ones that qualify), but what constitues a "date" to me is all upstairs...if I ask her out with the intention of making it a date, I'll make it pretty obvious. Otherwise, I see no reason why two people can't have a coffee w/o having a tag on their time together.

<---Made friends with all the beautiful Chinese girls on campus while he was with his ex. Hasn't found a new one in the last 6 months. :( :p

date is such a formal term. theyre getting to know each other. but if a girl wants to spend time with you, i would say hes got some interest...

Sort of...

This doesn't seem to be an official date though. I go out for coffee with my female friends all the time.

LOL I just figured out what YAGT means. As I look around and see about 15 cans of dew and 8 cans of vanilla coke I drank tonight
