Ok here is the short story. There is this girl in my class that we have started to get to know eachother better this year. Last friday she invited me to go to her sisters birthday party(a senior) with her. Well we went to dinner and then back to their house for fun at night in the rain. Anyway I like this girl, and today I took her home from school and she asked me to come over to watch Old School(A fav movie of both of ours that we quote all the time) and Super Trooper(She has not seen it). My question is does it look like I am moving towards the dreaded friendzone or what, and if I am whats the best way to make it clear thats not what I want thats not too akward like..."Hey I like you".

Edit: Please keep the WIDWIO(When in doubt whip it out) and other comments to a minnimun...were not that close yet.

Invite her to go to coffee sometime.

If she accepts that doesn't neccesarily mean she likes you, but, on the date, make it pretty clear you like her. If she likes you, she will make it clear as well.

not if it's just the 2 of you. if she asks you to go to a movie with her, and it ends up being her and 10 friends, welcome to friendtown, population YOU.

Get a popcorn container. Poke a hole at the bottom of it and put it on your lap. Put your winky in it and ask her if she wants popcorn while you are watching a movie. She will get the message and you will soon enter the non-friend zone.

Seriously though, I think you're making inroads toward a relationship, but you need to make it clear that you really like her. I think you should just make a move (sexually) next time you're alone with her. It takes balls, but it'll do wonders for your self-esteem and for your relationship.

works for me, then again i'm not looking for anything.....i geuss in john's situation, it's a bad thing, i loved the popcorn bowl idea though

What you need to do is take control of the situation. Don't do acts or say things that will divert you into the dreaded "friendship" zone. You must do subtle things so that it doesn't turn into that.

Be very touchy-feely. Make lots of physical contact. Brush her arm, touch her back, put your arm over her shoulder in a non-chalant friendly way. Tactile contact works really well. Good Luck!

Friendship zone isn't that bad.... because most likely she has other girlfriends that she can hook you up with. Good Luck Soldier!
