YAGT: I wish I knew what to do...

So currently, I have a FWB who is hot, intelligent, and totally straighforward. One of the least bitchy women I have ever met. I would really like to turn into a g/f, but ATM she is wanting to be single. This is one of those things that could last for a very long time, as she broke up with a b/f of four years about two months ago.

Then there is this other girl. She is cute and most importantly, the most honest, upfront woman that I know. She is also not a bitch at all. "Sweet" would describe her. She is the type that I'd be attracted to for a LTR, but in the pit of my stomach, I'd always feel like I would leave her if the current FWB decided that she wanted to get together.

WHAT SHOULD I DO???

Go with the second girl. It takes some getting used to, but consistency in a relationship is the greatest thing ever.

Give it some time. Hang out with the girl that is available, or if you can't do that without controlling your erratic feelings, don't hang out with any girls for a while. Don't pursue it (again erratic feelings), but just see if you could be more than friends. There may be a chance your feelings will change and you will look back at the other girl you have feelings for currently as just a passing emotion.

I am in a similar situation, but I am just giving myself time to really sort out my emotions. The girl I have developed feelings for is a very cool person, and I wouldn't be willing to jeapordize a good friendship over some fleeting emotions that will eventually wain.

You might need to give yourself a little time and distance from the first girl though. I am the type of guy that usually if a girl says no, I can get over it within a couple of days or so, but I have found that the feelings rushed back with the girl I just asked out. So right now, I am just giving it time and giving her and myself a little space. We still chat online every once in a while, but otherwise when we are with mutual friends, I give her elbow room, it would be unfair and unwise of me to do anything else.

I will say this, this girl has made me very uncomfortable with being single right now. Before, I was very comfortable with being single... now, just blah...

Especially with what I am pursuing now, chances are if I don't get a wahine soon, I will be single till I am 40+. <sigh>

Meh, if the right girl don't come along (someone whose personality I am compatable with), I am not going to rush it, but having to wait till I am alot older makes me really shudder sometimes.

LTR is a little shorter, same color hair, but shorter, very pretty smile, sorta girl next door look.
