YAGT: I probably over reacted...

So a friend of mine, a german girl who I'm really into and whom I shall hit on mercilessly when she moves back to the U.S., asks me one day to play a game with her on AIM - we'd take turns writing a short story, sentence by sentence. In other words, I type a sentence and then she adds a sentence. I play along and we write this silly story, hell... I was bored... Then she emails me a day later, asking me to proof read the finished story. I ask her why, she claims that she liked it so much that she's turning it in to an English Comp class she's taking. I get pissy, tell her that as some one who wants to be a writer, I resent having been tricked into helping her with her homework. She insists that she just did it for fun, I tell her that I'm sure as hell am not going to proof read it and that tricking me was not cool...

So now she's all defensive and angry - as if I have trust issues... Saying that "my other friend from NY had no problem proof reading it!" trying to get me jealous by implying that she's going to ... um... service .. this other friend or something... I don't know... I'm thinking I may have over reacted, but I do feel that she was trying to play me for a sap... Thoughts?

Sorry, did I forget to mention that there was a giant spider in her room and that we both played with her xBox 360 after we were done? The damn thing crashed all the time!

More entertaining now?

If it bothers you that much, and you still have the AIM log, e-mail it to her professor...

You turned a fun game for her and a nice memory into a pissy one. Good job. She didn't 'trick' you into writing the paper. You each took turns writing lines, it's a spontaneous thing, it's not like you sat down and wrote a studious paper. It's probably just amusing.

Maybe accusing her of tricking you was going too far, but that doesn't change the fact that she wants to claim credit in class for your contributions. That shows that she's very selfish, and trying to push you to feel jealous to defend her selfishness just shows that she'll do anything or say anything to get what she wants.

Kick her to the curb.

Why would you care even if she did use you? clearly you still would have done this little story anyways....

the fact that she doesn't realize what you're saying pisses me off..

but then again, did she know you wanted to be a writer?

then again, it was a game and he idea sounds interesting. who cares? hahahahaha
