Well having asked the girl to prom and known her for a year i asked her out. We planned on going out on friday after we both got off from work (both were closing cashiers last night).

We were going to see a movie, i was thrilled because we got everything done before hand. THen my genius manager for some reason forgot to tell us that we had to count all the carts. After we got that done the movie had started so she suggested we just go to a restraunt. We went there talked laughed, and after that when she dropped me off back at my car (that didn't go as planned as i was supposed to drive) i got her number.

We laughed plenty and everything and she seemed to enjoy herself but i think I have that worry all guys do. What if she didn't? I will ask her out again but im at a loss of where to go.

Lol im not a geek, play baseball, etc (Still computers are my thing). And i managed to get my grades up. I dunno what i was thinking that week. Everything got fixed up and the day before my B-Day i asked her to prom, and she said abosolutely. So i think i was simply focusing on all the bad things that were happening at the time.

But back to the thread. Ill sum something up. Here are the 2 "No's" right now.

No Sex (Yeah im an idiot i dont care if you flame me for it, but im a strong Christian)

No pics until after prom, in which i will upload a pic (with her permission of course).

Her brother and i are really good friends, be building a HTPC soon. SO i can always ask him for advice. She seemed to enjoy it because we were constantly laughing.

Tell me that most guys feel like this after the first date. Or am i simply focusing on all the bad things once again.

Well she just got out of a 9 month relationship and didn't want to jump right back into something. I myself never intended for it to be a BF GF relationship. I think what really happened was my friends made it seem that way. I told about 3 people about this, and it just so happens that 2 of them went to her the day after the date and asked how it went. Then people started asking me (maybe her) if we were going anywhere that night and stuff....

I feel like i just got punched in the stomach about 1000 times.

Well its not that it wasn't a real relationship. ITs just more that we are friends, her brother and i are friends as well, we all work at the same place and we have all known each other for a long time.

Well my friends didn't bad mouth or say anything bad.

What they did was hear selectively

Friend: "So are you guys dating now?"
Me: "Not really, we are going out on Friday but dont just go blabbing that around. Whether we are dating or not is up to her."
What they hear: "We are going out"

I was so happy that i was going to prom, then it all just sort of falls through like this

Simply cant believe it just happened......
