If it was a close friend, I'd be OK with jewelry. As long as it wasn't too expensive. I'd hope that the girl would find lingerie as weird as I would.

I'd pretty much let her deal with it, though. It's her business if a friend has some puppy dog crush on her.

If he was taller and better looking than me, I might sneak into his room at night and castrate him. But that's it. It's really her business.

how would you react if another guy gave your girlfriend jewelry for Christmas? or what about lingerie?

A woman who's married/engaged or in a committed relationship does not accept such gifts from men who are not her partner or close family members.

Just how close is your family Geekbabe?:Q

It would not be weird to have a brother who gave you something like a gold bracelet or fleece bathrobe for Xmas. Some strange guy giving you such things means either he's too forward or the woman had failed to make her relationship status clear to the guy.

I was really kidding, and I completely agree.

If my wife got lingerie/jewelery from someone other than a family member, I'd be more than a little concerned. for several reasons...

First I'd be pissed it happened @ all & wonder about the motivation.

Second, I'd be wondering why I'd even found about it, if there was something going on are they just that stupid to do this in front of me, or are they sending me a message?
