YAGT: How to meet someone through their parent

Here's the deal. I work for a company that services copy machines. There is a particular client that I really enjoy going to because the lady there is very nice. We always talk for a while and I actually enjoy going out to their location.

Well, Friday I went out there and worked on their machine. It was a bad day for her because she had a lot of copying to do so I told her that I would put the machine back up for a service call on Monday since I needed a part that I didn't have with me.

Monday rolls around and my co-worker goes out there. When he comes back, I mentioned that I really like her and he was like, "Yeah, and she has big plans for you too." She told my co-worker that she has a daughter who is single and that she really likes me (Dain) and that she wishes that we (Dain and client's daughter) could get together. I'm very interested in this but I have no idea how I should proceed.

What is the best way to follow up on this?
 
Keep showing up at her office...she'll give you an invite somehow? Maybe she'll give you a test run to make sure you're good for her daughter?
 
Why not be honest... "So, my friend said you have some big plans for me..." Just look innocent and curious... she'll fill in the gap.

Yeah, unforetunenately the Mom fix up thing is usually the kiss of death.

1. If her Mom likes you, she won't
2. She's already got a BF that Mom doesn't like
3. She weighs 200+ and wears hornrimmed glasses
4. (best option) she's a real slut and Mom wishes she would settle down

Appreciate the tips but the question was how to go about this the best way. Seen pics from mom's desk so that rules out three anyway. Mom said that she's single but just doesn't have time to go out and doesn't like meeting guys in bars anyway.

Anyways, 100% of the shots that you don't take don't go in. Anything is worth a follow up.

Next time you're in there, mention the picture.

Something along the lines of, "Guau! Is this your sister?"
"Ay. No, I am much too old. She is my daughter, Edith"
"Guau."
"Ju know, she is single. Does ju want to meet her?"
"Yes. I think so."

...and so forth

Try to get to know the girl some way besides a fix up blind date. Maybe try and arrange to meet them both at the mall, or a ballgame or something. And look for a chance to spend some time alone with the girl and if things go well ask her out directly, not through Mom.
