Um, wow... uhhhh..... what is she thinking? I'm trying to figure out what fashion statement she's trying to make? Public Librarian? 😕

i just don't know.. she's not really fashionable, not like most 20-somethings.. but she gets by, other than the glasses..

Ok I retract my previous comments now that youve shown pictures

This YAGT was deserved.

Ignore almost every post in here so far.... no matter how you say it, it will be obvious that you don't like them.... and trying to get around it by saying how much nicer she looks in contacts is moronic, because people dont look better WITH contacts, they look better without glasses (unless they are colored contacts I guess)

just man up, and say those glass are fugly, or run away.

I was always conscious of how i looked in glasses growing up and never wanted to wear them..... people can be sensitive about that, and a lot of people can't wear contacts very often comfortably whether it is an astigmatism or something else....

good luck... that first picture is scary 🙁

Yeah, this has been really bothering me and, don't call me an ass, i haven't invited her out to meet friends because I'm scared she might wear the glasses and look old enough to be my mom. She probably wonders why I didn't invite her to a friend's birthday and, as stupid as it sounds, first impressions are important.

It's almost like a seinfeld episode - she looks cute without her glasses and looks like a totally, totally different person.

I wear glasses, have since I was 5. I know how to pick frames for my face and, when I wear glasses, still look decent enough. Her glasses are distracting and make her look haggy - it's a really odd thing. I'm just not attracted to her with them on..

i'll eventually either man up or, if we becomes more than casual, offer to buy her a new pair.. or something..

Buy her some contacts.

she has contacts. she usually hangs out wiht me at night, after work, and is more comfortable in glasses, i guess....

I learned that hard way too. They put a show in contacts, and once you're in their web, they'll keep wearing fugly glasses.

Chances are she isn't going to drop her glasses for you.

Tell her straight up. "I'm going to be honest with you. I think those glasses make you look older than my grandmother. You look way better in contacts."

On a side note, why do you continue to pursue white girls when you get shut down every single time? Do a search for all your YAGTs and take a look at the pics of all the girls. Call me racist, but you should try broadening your scope.

wow, it is like a different person

grab your testicles and tell her the glasses are ****** ugly, i wouldn't be able to take her places with me either

just try to be a little nicer about it than that 😛

I don't make enough money to date my own kind (Indians)! 😉 Seriously, I've dated indian girls, russians, chinese, german, etc. etc. etc. Just recently my type tends to be the dark haired/light eyed variety. It's not a race thing, really... And, when you think about it, in an perfect world every relationship but one works out, right? So I don't mind churning through girls - a sick part of me enjoys it, actually 😉

I read that as "grab her testicles" - I was about to yell at you, saying she looks old in glasses, not like a dude! 😉 Yes, that's the biggest problem. I was kinda uneasy even introducing her to my roommates when she wore those things..

Looks like I'm going to have to get this out of the way. Here's an approach I thought of:

While getting ready for a date, I'll call her and say "I'm really conflicted, this is a nice place, I'm not sure if I should wear glasses or contacts - be honest...What do you prefer? Don't wuss out - do you like the way I look in glasses or contacts? Don't worry about hurting my feelings!"

I'm pretty sure that would lead her to ask the same question,... This way, I could tell her how I feel in a round about way.

😕

Just dump her now. If you're that shallow, this relationship is going nowhere.

I'm not shallow, can't I have a preference without being shallow? I like the girl just, man, she looks like my 1st grade teacher when she has her glasses on..

"Have you ever considered trying another style of glasses?"

"How do you feel about contacts? I never see you wearing them."

"Your eyes are so beautiful... those frames sort of hide them though!"

If you can't handle it, move on. Why is that so difficult to accept?
