Realistically she knows, or should know, what she's getting into. She's pleading with a guy who obviously barely knows her to go with her, going to the extreme of offering to pay for everything but his tux. She isn't going in expecting The Night Of All Nights! If he accepts he should certainly be her date for the night and stick close, but otherwise the only thing Chiboy's done wrong is stating his opinion on the girl in crass terms.

that is my point... my utter disbelief that an attractive girl would ask him to the prom and he would turn around post her pic and his crude opinion of her like that on a message board behind her back. Should she expect the night of her life? No, it is prom after all, but I think that she deserves a little more respect. What he's done is to display that he is totally devoid of basic manners Sully. He doesn't have to return the young lady's feelings for him but she did in fact honor him by inviting him and offering to pay his way, she didn't deserve this thread and her pic posted here for the pleasure of ATOT wankers.

You have a point with the picture thing to some degree. However try not to laugh when I offer this as an explanation: Did he not ask AT to help come up a response to this situation? Honestly enough, in this situation I'd want to evaluate the physical aspect of the girl before I replied to the thread. IMO she's rather attractive but I'm into the pastey whites. 😉

Guys wonder why women don't share in the risk taking of asking for dates, they biatch that women are gold digging ho's because they expect guys to pay for dates...and look at this, a woman does both and she gets this.

True - this doesn't really help anecdotally - but on the other hand this should not be the way a girl should be asking out a guy! He's clearly been disinterested thus far in her, and yet she's asking him to the prom of all things? She is totally setting herself up, just like a guy would have set himself up if the situation was reversed. It's not fair to play the gender blame game here - this is the dark side of equality rearing its ugly head!

Karen, I replied to you mainly to have an opportunity to tell you how much I enjoy reading your posts here on AT. Please keep posting for a long time to come. 🙂

She is attractive to me as well. I guess you have a point, I'm working off information about this girl that I recieved privately which was not posted here. She's, uh, rather whacko. Been persistently asking Chiboy to go for a while now. We've concluded - and this is going to sound terrible - that he's either going to have her all over him all night, or as a result of her nuttiness be totally standoffish. The former and the latter could both be embarrassing and a real drag in general.

The picture thing - it's fair game dammit! 🙂 Girls should post pictures of guys and do the same more often to even things out. Posting a picture is hardly in itself a degrading act.
