Hah, I honestly felt that canceling on her was not only the right thing to do but empowering - I'm not her little toy this time. Not saying I wouldn't date her if that is what happens, but I shouldn't just hook up with her and think of her just as a number. Where's that going to get me?

I'm not turning my back on her - I'm seeing her on friday. I just won't jump into things foolishly or try to chase her.

recommending the whole hit n' quit strategy depends upon the timing and the situation that you have given me. to me, it seems she is reaching for the hammer next to the glass and wants to break out a little something something for one time use. you might as well enjoy it, since she probably has a couple other people that could fit the bill.

empowering as it may be to turn her down, i think the hit n' quit would put you into a better position if you can execute the "quit" part. when guys suddenly lose interest (especially after an intimate encounter) it drives girls nuts and makes them want to make you want them.

i hope that last sentance made sense.
