Depends on the girl...I went out with this one girl and didn't bring a flower, and she hated stuff like that...

She used to comment about how she hates people who show their affection in public (holding hands, kissing, etc)...

If it were me, I will NOT give out flower on the first date. I think it would make it a little akward, especially if she currently treat you ONLY as friend. I would go out, have a really good time and try to know her better. You'll also have to open up and make sure that she knows you as much, if not more.

Then on the second date, WHAM ... immediately give her flower when you meet her and tell her how much you've enjoyed the first date. You'll be using the flower as token of appreciation to her for having such a good time.

She will melt.

Guaranteed. Everytime ..

:)

Good luck and don't mess up the first date if you really like her.

Good advice IMO :)

I had this EXACT debate yesterday....here was my logic: I haven't known her that long so it might seem odd, since she doesn't know what kind of guy I am. I decided that if I had known her longer I would've gotten her one since it would reinforce the notion that I'm a kind man. I think since you've known her a longer time you should do it.

from just a quick review--ppl are saying either no OR sure but just 1 flower. your intentions are to let her know you're interested, right?----so i vote for giving her a bouquet of flowers...not roses. if she agrees to a 2nd date, she's more or less interested too.

Are you averse to showing your affection in public as well?

I could never be with such a girl, as i'm totally the opposite.
