okay i dont' think you're doomed...first off how long have you known this girl from before this...second does she even know your dating or are you just hanign out at your house...try asking her out on an actual date type activity...you don't have to get physical for her to know that you are interested, but just hanging out isn't going to get the message across a lot of time...

All of the times we have went out they were date type activities. I figure inviting a girl over on a Friday night gets the message across that I am interested

I hate to break it to you, but girls usually decide before you ever go out whether you'll just be a friend type of guy she'll want to hang out with, or if she is attracted to you enough to "date". If she isn't showing some distinct signs of interest in you from the first, then you're just a friend she likes to hang with. Do you consider it a "date" when you take a male friend to the movies? Of course not, it's just "hanging out".
