The funny thing is, if you DID decide to give up hunting for her, she would surely lose respect for you anyway. You said you like her and wanted a relationship with her and she gave you the LJBF ("Let's just be friends"). Perhaps she gets a kick out of seeing what she can get you to do for her and controlling you.

Well, it may be that she knows that you like her, and she enjoys that power, and is trying to use this situation to reafirm her power. I know that sounds REALLY harsh, but it might be a subconcious thing. I think that sometimes, when people know they have a certain influence over your life, they tend to abuse it without really realizing what they are doing. Though this seems a little more obvious than that, it might be that type of situation.

You shouldn't have to stop hunting, which is important to you, for a person with whom who are not even in a serious relationship. I would suggest saying just that: "GirlX, we are not in a relationship, and I don't think that as a friend, you have that much influence over my life. I would not ask you to change something that you thought was so fundemental. Please think this through again."

I was thinking about it, but I don't have enough minutes to talk to her for an hour on my cellphone. All she's going to do is tell me how much she hates hunting and how I shouldn't do it. I may call her tonight and tell her if she wants to talk to come over and we'll talk (aka she can yell at me and i'll pretend to listen).

Well, we "talked". She is still trying to get me to quit hunting. We discussed it all, again, and I told her something she said last night really pissed me off and she wouldn't drop it after I told her I didn't want to discuss it.

I asked her if she was going to say anything else besides "tell me" and she said no, I can do this all night, and I said goodbye and got up and left.

She basically told me that she hates me when I go hunting, and she can't stand fighting about it anymore.

I told her that it was a part of who I am and I can't give it up to please a friend, then she said "it's not who you are, it's just something you do". The whole discussion was pointless. She told me that she loves me so much, blah blah blah, but she hates me when I go hunting.

Then she went on to say that she would never answer an ultimatum, and I was like "so you expect me to?", and she said yes. What a joke.

No way in hell would I let a women get infront of skiing (my equivalent to hunting). I made a mistake once and asked a girl out during the winter. It turned out that this one actually wanted a second date, and a third...
So later in the year, about a month down the line, she pulls this "You never want to hang out with me, all you want to do is ski. When can we see each other if oyu are on the mountain all the time?" Kinda of crap. Whoops, out the door she went. Sorry girl, if you cant accept that fact that I ski. I skied before you, I skied while I was with you, and now that you are gone I will continue to ski. See where I am going here? Only if she was like light of my life would I ever let anyone to get infront of my skiing.

Well, I had statistics with her this morning, and she's definitely pissed 😀 She didn't say a word to me in class, and usually after class she comes in and sits in the cafeteria with me and my friends. Today she stomped out of the building, LOL.
