yagt: construction worker dissed my girlfriend

So about 6 months ago, my GF's parents decided to completely renovate the inside of their house, and hired a few contractors to do the work. There are three of them. My GF taught 3rd grade in Ft. Lauderdale for 2 years, and decided to break up with her boyfriend of 6 years and move back home to do some more schooling. One of the contractors (about our age (23)) wanted to date her, and they went out once, and that was it. After that, the older guy ~50 started to act like a dick to her because he thought that she should be dating the other dude.

This is about the time I started seeing her (~3 months ago). Well anyway, two weeks ago, her parents went down to their house in florida for a few weeks, and I promptly moved in with my GF (morning + night sex FTW). The contractors usually show up around 8am, just the time im leaving for school/work, and the other day, the older guy called my GF a "player", which is basically implying shes a slut, which he said because she wont date his co-worker, and now he sees me waking up there every day.

So anyway, I told my GF just to brush it off, but as we were walking out the door today, he says "seeya later player" to my GF. I stopped, turned around, and said

"dont you have something you should be doing?" Then I took two steps, turned around again and said "Oh, and if you ever infer that my girlfriend is a slut again, i'll rip your balls off and shove them down your throat"

Was this too harsh?

LOL.. hopefully he wont say anything to her parents.

Cliffs:

1) I move in with my GF for a few weeks while parents are out of town
2) Contractor calls my GF a slut because she didnt date his coworker, and is now with me
2) I tell him ill rips his balls off and shove them down his throat
 
I don't think you really said that.

I would suggest to the parents to replace them with people who will work and not run their mouths.

no i really said it.. cuz it really upset my GF that she had to put up with that ****** in her own house. I was just gonna let it go, but when he said it in front of me as we were leaving, I just lost it.

The guys are a bunch of assholes, and her parents are fed up with them. Its taking them waay too long to complete the project, and the house is always in a total state of mess because of them. The project was supposed to be finished 3 months ago.

There wouldnt have been a fight because

1) Its pretty obvious I would have kicked his ass
2) Her parents would have fired them from an extremely high paying job
 
You improperly used infer when you meant imply. But he didn't really imply it, he came right out and said it.

I have no idea what I would have done in that situation, my girlfriend isn't a player.

you get no points. you shouldn't be in the house anyway, you don't live there
 
Why doesn't the parents hire a different set of contractors? Was there a contract signed? If so, read the part about completion date.

well, its a big job for 3 guys (basically gutted most of the inside of the house), but either way, its taking them way longer than it should. From what I can tell, theyve been running their mouths and being a bunch of dicks. Who knows though. I think shes gonna move in with me in a few weeks.

yeah. Its him, his boss (the guy who calls my GF a player), and some other dude who actually seems like a nice guy. The guy she dated once is the older guys son-in-law, which is why he takes it so personally that she wont date him, and takes it upon himself to be a complete douchebag to her about it.
 
Also, if her parents object to you staying at their house while they're in Florida, she should let them know that she did not feel SAFE being alone in the house with those contractors.
