YAGT: Car wreck *story and picture*

I wish you and her family the best. That's a horrible thing to happen to someone so young.

My condolences. I know how hard it is to lose a friend in a split second.

What kind of car was she driving? It definitely doesn't look like it should have passed the governments safety standards, unless the Jeep was going insanely fast.

that's awful.

That reminds me of the dateline side impact tests they had this week. a side impact airbag with head protection may have saved her.

:(

I'm guessing the car was cut apart by the rescue crew with the jaws of life or the saws that they use but still, that looks horrible. I'm sorry for your loss and especially sorry for her family.

Keep in mind, though.... that picture was (extremely likely) taken after the car was torn apart by emergency workers to get to the girl inside. Tough to say what the car might've looked like right after the crash.

My condolences to losing your friend, profet. Sucks to lose a friend suddenly in a car crash like that. :frown: :(

According to the story, she was driving the pickup. The torn up jeep was the one where the passengers came out ok.

at fist look I thought it must have been the other way around. wow.

yeah, there are alot of wrecks where she wrecked.. it is her fault though.

its a 65 speed limit highway that she was crossing, probably going 70-75 which all cars do

thanks everyone

that is an older ford pickup. Older safety ratings didn't test side impacts like that. The jeep looks in such bad condition because the roofs been cut off, prob to get the person out on a c-spine collar.

This road was proba highway, and the jeep was prob doing 50-65MPH
