Stumbled across Feather USA while poking around for guns. Anyone know about these RAV guns? They look very cool and fit nicely in the case. I'm sure accuracy isnt all that hot being as they use pistol ammo, but for a pistol sized carbine they look like a really fun travel gun.
Any thoughts?

I know nothing about them, but they look cool! On an unrelated note, I'm going to pick up a SiG P226(9mm) at the end of this month(used).

For what they want you could find a nice USC or a Beretta Storm. The Storm is actually a rather nice carbine. I thought it looked cheap and would feel cheap but I was wrong.

As far as travel goes, I would think a pretty much any .45 pistol would be sufficent.

You know, the looks of the Storm just dont do it for me. I dunno..... But yes, its certainly an option. Do they break down like the Feather's do? They have a video on the website that shows them assembling it then poppin a few rounds off.

I don't think the Storm can break down like that.

If you are looking for a compact, quick to disassemble carbine this might be the ticket. Recently I looked at some Hi Piont carbines and have not been all that impressed.

If it were me, I guess I would wat until September and build a nice underfolder AK.

Thats on the list of to-do's as well ;)

Yeah, I just like the Rav due to the small size, easy portability and "fun factor". Only thing better I think would be an Uzi, which since the price dropped are about the same price as the Rav's!! (around 5-600)

SKS loading > all.

A hi cap mag with the stripper clips, I can reload my 30 rounder using stripper clips faster then I can reload it by hand. Stripper clips are just frickin great.

I would sell my soul for an FNC with a registered full auto sear and a few Beta drums, or maybe a SAW.

*heh* ATF laws state the reciever must be cut no less then 5 times. 5 full cuts. Thats alot of welding and grinding and finishing to get her back together, and then you end up with an illegal gun anyways :(

Yea, I know it sucks.

I have a Bren kit that I hope to eventually get built into a legal semi-auto config.

I have wondered what I would do if presented with some difficult situations.

For example: An old widow tells me her husband kept som gun stuff in the basement and just to get rid of it. I go down there and find Thompsons, BARs, 1919s, MG42s, MP44s, etc in pristine conditon. If they were turned in they would surely be destroyed.

Most likely I would soon be investing in concrete mix and shovels.

Will a front end loader work? And about 500 acres of ground? :)

It just might do.

It is a bit of a drive though. I wouldn't know what to say to the police if I was stopped with enough weapons to stop the blitzkrieg.:D
