I knew that google would give out the values of certain physical constants right at the top of the page if you searched for them (try googling "h"), and still think it's cool that when you google "h" it doens't return something about h being a letter, but rather gives you planck's constant, but I didn't know until I just tried it now, that google can multiply for you too.

I've got to find some wavelength of an x-ray here, and have to multiply planck's constant and the speed of light. I don't have a calculator handy, and using the calculator on my laptop is cumbersome, so I typed in "h*c" into google and got a value :)

Oh, and you can also get the quantities in different units too, like the speed of light in furlongs per fortnight etc :p

Yeah I know it's old, and I know most of it already too, but with all of the homework threads, I figure it's appropriate :p

I've made it almost all the way through a physics degree without ever having to touch a graphing calculator. Standard scientific for most stuff, anything extra I use maple/mathematica for :)

And I didn't have my calculator handy is the thing ;)
