you suck more than me! 😛

here are some songs i can play (poorly)
smashing pumpkins - thirty three
oasis - dont look back in anger, live forever
third eye blind - jumper
coldplay - the scientist

yeah. i started self teaching myself a ways back, but i got hurt/lazy etc.

The easiest strumming song ever has to be "Name" by goo goo dolls. The trick to the song was they used some really weird tuning so all the chords use the fingering 0-0-0-0-0-0 or 0-2-2-2-2-2 (I believe, been forever since I've played it, but it's very similar to this) and just change the strings they strum.

-Chu

EDIT : Bullet with Butterfly Wings by the smashing pumpkins is also really easy to play but sounds really hard. Everything based around 0-2-2-0-4-x and 0-0-0-0-4-x with another weird tuning, and it sounds much harder to play then it is. If you want to try a very easy non strumming song that sounds hard, try "Heaven Beside You" by Alice in Chains.

Anything punk or punkish. Green Day, Offspring, Ramones... heck, a lot of grunge stuff like Nirvana is like 4 chords.

Heheh, a song I looked up the other night might work but it might be a little tough for you, The Kinks - Lola 🙂 Most of it is only playing a few chords. Power chords are simple, most of the popular stuff since the early 90's are mostly power chords so get used to them if you want to play that kinda stuff 😉

If you haven't yet, get the powertab software and get the tabs from here. Great software that makes learning songs a lot easier 🙂
