I just moved into a new apartment and I need a dining room table.

I would love to have a stainless steel top, but I can live without it.

I am looking for something either stpre bought cheap , or do-it-yourself cheap. Either way, the keyword is "cheap" ;-)

i would go re-sale-ing! like resale shops, salvation army type thing... if you have the patients, its amazing what cool stuff you can find! plus, if you find something you "kinda" like, you can buy it cheap and make it to suit you.

I am looking for a cool table and chairs, and all the ones i have seen at Discount stores like target and stuff look cheap. if you have the time, you can find something pretty cool!

Why do you need a dining room table??

Mine's only used to pile junk on. I've NEVER sat down to a meal at it.

I agree. When on a budget you can find some good stuff there.

Home Depot
Hollow-core interior door: maybe $20
12 cinderblocks (6 if you like the pedastal look): $10
College grunge look: Priceless

If it wasn't for cinder blocks, I would have had to put my stereo on the floor in college, sure kept the turntable stable:D

Oh yea,
salvaged blocks covered with paint and/or mud and a door with a splintered edge from being kicked in not only save cash, but add character :D
