Yet another Fedex thread.

Ordered Spliter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow from EB. Free two day shipping, was supposed to arrive today. This morning I put a not on my front door, bright yellow piece of paper saying "Dear Fedex, please leave package between the doors, Thank You, Intake77"

I just tracked it online:
2:49 pm Delivery attempt CROMWELL CT Customer not available or Business closed

EDIT:
WTFEAVAB!!!

So my wife calls me at work, she got home early, I asks her "did fedex leave a door tag??" She says, "no why? Your note is still there..." I call them up and they tell me "Sorry, they'll try again tomorrow, just sign the door tag." "I didnt get a door tag." "Oh, um... we'll I'll make sure they're going to the correct house."

It's not like your shady neighbor could have placed that note or anything....

FedEx is just covering their ass.

Perhaps it was shipped with a signature required.....or maybe it's because you have to sign a release waiver form with Fedex for them to leave packages on your doorstep.

Just a guess.....

Yep, if it requires a sig they will not leave it. You call them up and schedule to pick it up tonight. My packages went from CA to MI to NJ and then back to MI all in the span of 1 day, according to Fedex, at least. :p

Naw, eb doesnt require sigs at delivery, they'll just leave a little door tag now that I have to sign and leave on the door. My neighbor could do the exact same thing, see the tag, grab it, sign it, and put it on my door after I leave. I dont see how it's any better

I guess I'll just have to play Diablo 2 tonight.

Problem is the closest fedex location is about 40 minutes away...

nothing wrong with that... You'll get your game, a little patience is a virtue (I shouldnt speak)

On a related note, here's my run in with FedEx today:

7 monitors delivered ~2hrs ago

asked him "I have 10 coming... you have the other 3?"

"no no no... not sure whered theyd be"

"Ummm ok... I jsut ordered 10 and they all shipped same place same times etc"

2hrs later

"Heres 3 more"

I let him off easy... he had to lug those 10 boxes up here.

I've had Fedex leave a note on my door and never knock. I was in the next room, but my dog would have gone nuts had someone actually knocked on my door. I found the note when I took her for a walk later.

They probably just assume that people work during the day and take a nap in their trucks... if there's no note when I get home, they'll be heck to pay, you hear me? HECK TO PAY!

You didn't help him when you saw him bringing the boxes?

Could be worse, they could deliver a new mobo and leave it sitting in a snowbank like they did with me. Hmm, or was that UPS that did that?

ever since I signed that release waiver form, they leave things at my door without even trying to ring the bell. I didn't know my package was right outside on Monday until I went online to track it. I was like.. WTF they were here 12 minutes ago ?!

The last time I had a FedEx signature required package (and the signature had to be in-person -- no signing the delivery notice and leaving it for the driver to find the next day), I called their hotline and arranged for the package to be delivered to my office.

I got home from work today, sure enough no door tag like me wife said... about a half hour later, the normal fedex guy shows up and points to my glass-blocks next to my door saying "I left the tag right there!" I laughed and said welp, it's not there now is it :) he hooked me up with the package. Woot SC:pT! too bad I found THIS this afternoon.

I've never had a problem with Fedex shipping to my place (UPS on the otherhand is a nightmare for me to deal with). When ordering from Newegg, I consistently get the package at least a day BEFORE it's scheduled to arrive. Also, my job is litterally down the street from the local depot, so if I do miss the delivery guy, I just stop by on my way into work for the night and pick up my package :D

Yeah, they did that to me once. Actually, they said they delivered it, and guess what...it wasn't there.
