@woolfe9998 - yes, that makes more sense now with the people.com link.

There's still more to be explained, but I don't know if we will get additional info.

Such as why the teacher said she interpreted the comment as a "threat to kill her".

Or why she felt that way, but didn't report it to school admin, instead taking matters into her own hands.

She said she "interpreted" it that way, meaning she is saying the threat was not explicit. Perhaps she didn't take it seriously as a threat to kill but did feel the matter needed addressing.

Either way, we can assume that these social media posts are available to the school and to law enforcement.

You know, stuff like that.

Either way, not looking good for ms. Lee. But in FL maybe she can still own that big ole firearm 😉

The fact that there is a photo of her holding a bolt action hunting rifle doesn't influence my opinion of the matter. It's legal to own such a weapon, and to hunt, in my home state of CA. I would caution against making any assumptions based on something that superficial and inconclusive.

Yea, that's what the winky was for. I don't personally care if she's holding a fire arm. In my state (MA), if you started getting in trouble like drinking and driving, or hitting children, MA is unlikely to allow you to legally own firearms. Dunno if FL is the same way, or CA.

I care if she feels it's proper to meet with a student privately and maybe hit them as well. A teacher of 35 years either knows a private meeting isn't proper or doesn't. Which is a good indicator of her character either way.

Republicans just make you want to vomit. Of course Ric Scot from Florida
GOP Senate campaign chair Rick Scott releases agenda that calls for finishing border wall and naming it after Trump (msn.com)

  • The agenda says the US must "finish building the wall, and name it after President Donald Trump."
Look at this crap. It's not an agenda but a bunch of culture war rhetoric which is either meaningless or outright bullshit.
