I drafted Kurt Warner late to be my backup to McNabb, but since Leinart is going to be starting indefinitely from now on, should I drop him and pick up Delhomme that someone just sent to Free Agency? Or should I keep Warner just in case and drop someone like Jason Witten (backup to LJ Smith) and have 3 QBs for a possible trade option later?

Warner has been rather bad this year anyways...I would think Delhomme would be an upgrade even it Warner wasn't being benched...

Warner is done.. He's been having the same thumb issues for the past few years.. Apparently it hasn't healed properly.

Except two, possibly three, good years as the Ram's quarterback, Warner has done very little and now less.

I would pick up Carr or Kitna. With a starting QB like McNabb, you're really only looking to pick up a QB for Philly's bye week. Carolinas bye week is the same as Philly's...so Jake won't do you much good.

In week 9, Houston plays NYG who gave up HUGE points via the air attack in Seattle. Week 9 also brings together the 49s and the Vikings. Normally I wouldn't advise picking up Brad Johnson, but who doesn't run over SF? Week 9 also has the Saints againts TB. If Brees is available, he might be a decent filler. Leftwich against the Titans in week 9 as well.

I just don't see how picking up Jake will do you any good, unless you just want to trade him away later.

EDIT: Obviously you need to drop Warner even if you don't pick up someone else right away. Leinart is their boy down in ARI.

You think picking up Carr and starting him against the Giants would be a viable option? Brunell is also available and they are at Dallas in week 9, though he's not a very good fantasy qb.

pick up carr asap. drop a crappy player off your roster for carr.

edit: if you're a newb who has a backup kicker or backup defense, get rid of both back up positions and get good players. why? because defenses and kickers typically don't get you too many points... yes, some do, but most don't. kickers are typically a dime a dozen. as for defenses, if your defense has a buy week, pick up a defense that is still available that is playing the worst possible offense.

also, you take the playable backup players off the free agent list for someone else to get if they're in a tight situation, making it a lot easier for you to win. it's also good to have good back-ups as trade material.

If Carr is available, pick him up right now.

The Giants:

227 pyds 5 TDs in Week 3
350 pyds 2 TDs in Week 2
276 pyds 1 TD in Week 1

Given that fact and the fact that Carr has the highest QB rating in the league. Has 7 TDs with the most in McNabb @ 9. Pick up Carr now if he is available.
