lol....that's exactly what I had, with the only exception being Favre over Green b/c Favre seems to be steadier. And torn between Branch/Colbert and Colbert/Bennet as WR but tentatively what you mentioned are my picks.

ok who should i start
M.Clayton vs. Atlanta
R. Williams vs. Ari

this is for my 3rd WR position...i have stuck with roy williams every week i could, but he just hasnt produced at all recently

that's tough. I'd probably go with Williams anyway. Arizona isn't great and he's a threat in the red zone. Plus he's getting healthier and has K.Jones running now to take some pressure off.

i have been offered a trade goings for clayton

dont think i will take it though, but its hard with Goings playing NO this week, but i am already starting Delhomme

my RB's are Rudi, Bettis, and Holmes if he ever gets healthy

I'd tend to agree with almost all of these too. As you said, Favre over Green though. I might also use Blaylock over Droughns in league 3, as SD's run D is tough and Oakland's is pretty tragic. Depends though on how serious KC is about continuing to work LJ into the mix. In league 2, I'm tempted to say Branch over Colbert, but you never know who Brady's going to throw to and NO D is just that bad. I'd also be tempted to use Plummer over McNair, as SD's pass D is so-so at best and Jake the Snake's been on a roll as of late.

Question for all of you FF gurus 🙂
Drew Brees (vs. Denver) or Favre (vs. Philly)

I'm leaning toward Brees but would kindly take any ideas.

Also, what WRs would you keep on your bench as an emergency starter going into the fantasy playoffs?
Currently I've got Drew Bennett and Jabar Gaffney on the pine. Horn and (Randy) Moss are my 1 & 2. Bennett I start as WR3 (this is actually a WR/TE flex spot). I have Wiggins as a second TE and actually as my injury sub for Randy in the flex spot. Best available on the FA list are Johnnie Morton, Donte Stallworth, David Patten and Az Hakim. Replace Gaffney (and/or Wiggins) with any of these guys? My thinking is this. I'm basically going to start Horn and Moss every week barring injury. Bennett and Gaffney both have nice matchups the rest of the way, but I will probably start Bennett all the time as he is a little bit more reliable than Gaffney. Should I grab Stallworth as injury insurance for Horn? Or is one of the other scrub WRs too good to pass up (can't imagine any of them personally 😛)? TIA.

I would lean towards Brees as well b/c I think GB will try to run it. However I am still starting Favre over Green...go figure. Depending a little on the scoring system of your league, I would not take any of those guys you mentioned over Wiggins, Gaffney, or Bennet.

Thanks Ninja. You've given me quite a bit of good advice this FF season. 🙂 Scoring is 1pt/10yds rush/rec, 6pts/TD, 2pt bonus 100+yds.

I'd go with Brady in this case. He usually puts up fairly solid numbers and not like Cleveland is going to shut them down. As TheNinja pointed out above, GB might try to run it.

so does anyone think a trade Goings for Clayton is worth it
other players on my team
Delhomme, leftwich, palmer, hasselbeck
C. Johnson, Roy Williams, C. Chambers
R. Johnson, Bettis, Holmes (still on the bench)
McMichael
kaeding
Cincy, buffalo
bolds are starting

top 2 get a bye next week, i am in 4-way tie for 2nd, but have 10 point advantage

Tough call there. Depends on how much rec yds/receptions are worth in your league. If Williams starts playing like he did earlier in the season, I would do it. Holmes may not be back (He initially posted something on his website apologizing to FF leagues implying he would be out the rest of the year. He then later retracted it so who knows - it does plant the seed of doubt though). Rudi and Bettis are not a bad combo though even without Goings, as Bettis has earned some add'l carries, even with Staley back, and might be fine as long as he continues to score. I guess if you're trading Clayton to someone out of contention, definitely do it. Goings might help a bit in your RB situation.

you must have a lot of players in your league if you are tied for 2nd, I guess you do have Holmes though. As far as your trade...it is pretty even however keep in mind that Brad Hoover is coming back to Carolina and could possibly take carries away from Goings. For you it all depends on Holmes health. If Holmes is going to be back next week, I would keep who you have and go with Holmes/Rudi. If Holmes is looking done for the season for 2-3 more weeks I would make the trade b/c you need RB at that point.

the person that is offering the trade is in a 4 way tie for the last playoff spot and is in 4th in points in that tie (15 points behind the leader) so its tight there, but unlikely he will make it

Goings would help as I, along with everyone else, assumes the Panthers will score a lot on the Saints this weekend...so i could replace rudi or bettis...

if i get the bye the only time i would play goings might be the superbowl (if i make it) and replace Bettis who plays the ravens.

well yeah, the question of the day is, what is the deal with holmes 🙂

right now i have heard at least missing the next 2 games...

there are 12 teams

4 of the teams are tied for 2nd-5th (8wins-4 losses)
4 teams tied for 6-9th (5 and 7)

6 teams make the playoffs (top 2 get byes)

BREAKING NEWS: Marshall Faulk out this week.

League 1 (10yards rush=1point, 25yards pass=1point, all TD=6 points)

Pick 3 RB:
Tomlinson vs Den
Martin @ Indy
K.Jones vs Ari
Ont.Smith @ Chi
S.Jackson vs SF

Bledsoe or Trent Green (QB) ?

H Ward or Stockley (WR) ?

R McMichael or D Graham (TE) ?
Baltimore or Pittsburgh Defense?

Lately Stockley have better fantasy point than H Ward 🙁

Green (if healthy enough to go). Stokely (Indy will air it out vs ten). McMichael. Baltimore vs Cincy...Palmer is a turnover machine.
