YAFFT: Culpepper or Brees Week 4

Culpepper has the monster matchup... but he's shown me absolutely zilch this season...

What do y'all think?

Culpepper has a shot against an abysmal Houston Defense, but Brees has been more consistant as far as I can tell. I guve Culpepper 50/50 to post good numbers against Houston's struggling defense.

First dumb move was picking Culpepper for your team. Now you're still trying to validate playing him after he's been so terrible?

Brees has yet to have a good...or a bad week. He's consistently "meh". Culpecker on the other hand has earned negative points on a few occassions. I'd play it safe and go with Brees.

My dilema is this:

Brees vs. Carolina D
Mcnair vs. SD
or McFumbles Warner vs ATL

*sigh*

Dante Sackpepper?

I'd definitely go with Brees.

Now, should I start Drew Bledsoe (coming off a bye) against the Titans (0-3) or Rex Grossman (Chicago) against Seattle?

Bledsoe. I'd say he has a 70% chance of having better stats than Grossman. Plus the Titans are terrible.

True, but Grossman has put up some very impressive numbers in the first three games this season and Chicago is 3-0. Still, I think they're going to have a tough time with Seattle so I'm really leaning towards Bledsoe.

I dropped TO this week as well.

Bledsoe isn't going to throw any INTs against the Titans. Grossman will have atleast 2 against the Seahawks.

How the hell are your leagues structured in scoring?

Culpepper is a way better start against the worst pass defense in the league compared to Brees (with limited offensive weapons) against the seventh-ranked pass D.

I have both and didn't hesitate to start Culpeppper.

I'm not really too worried. The guy I'm matched up with this week hasn't updated his profile and his QB (of which he has only one) has a bye this week. Yet he's talking smack like he's going to beat me. I'm not going to mention to him that he has no starting QB.

-1 point for each sack... Culpepper has been sacked 16 times already this season...

You do the math...

Ah. I don't think you get penalized for a sack, that's a combination of blocking + QB.

In my league the QB is penalized a point for every sack...

Go with Pepp. Brees is nice, no denying it, but in terms of who is going to put up the better numbers today? I gotta say Pepp is going to light up the Texans like Brunell did.
