YAFET

Last week my power supply blew up. I bought another on Newegg and paid extra to have it shipped 2day. Newegg did their part shipped it out same day, and it was on the truck to be delivered on the second day. I wasnt home at the time they said they tried to deliver it, but my roommate was. Tracking says customer not available/business closed, but they didnt leave a slip saying they tried to deliver. Dont they usually do this?

Im steamed that I paid extra, do I have a case in asking for a refund on some of the shipping costs? Its not neweggs fault so i dont feel right asking them...

I have gotten deliveries from fedex at this address before, and its really easy to find so that is not an excuse.

Yeah, those delivery drivers are always in such a damn hurry it's a surprise that they don't just keep driving by after just not seeing a car in front of your house. Did you ask your roomate about the delivery attempt?

If it's FedEx Express, you can have it stopped at a nearby FedEx depot. You might even be able to have it stopped at a nearby Kinko's now that they're FedEx Kinko's.

Why the hell don't you call FedEx and tell them that? Usually they'll swing by again/let you go pick it up
I last checked the tracking around noon on Friday, and then left for home around 1PM. When I got there it had not arrived and I needed to leave. I assumed the driver just hadnt been there yet and I told my roommate (who was working from home) to expect a delivery. My computer at home is broken (thus the new PSU), so I couldnt check the tracking. If I had, I would have seen they (apparently) tried to deliver @ 12:30, and just would have gone to the place to pick it up myself. Instead, I left assuming it would arrive in the afternoon. I wasnt able to find out the status until this morning when I arrived at work.

I cant live without my comp! I paid (NOT PAYED) extra so I could have it in time to fix the comp over the weekend... Who should I talk to about trying to get my $10, or should I not bother?

I suppose you could complain to FedEx corporate, but don't expect much from it.

If you wanted instantaneous gratification, you should have bought the power supply locally.

That happened to me before. I was outside with my new puppy from 8:30-10, After I got back in I tracked my item and it said they attempted to deliver at 9:15. I called and said a FedEx truck never even drove by. They hooked me up with the local warehouse, the manager there was very nice, called me back about 15 mins later, and had someone bring it by (in their normal car) after they left work that day. I thought that was pretty cool of them

Thats true, and if you want 2day gratification you pay for 2day delivery.
