Hard to say without seeing the standings and the rest of your team..... but Overbay is really hot and Morris is solid. Unless you need steals and saves desperately, don't go for it.....

Well it depends on you needs/wants...but on the surface It looks like a great deal for you

Well.... I'm actually quite satisfied with my team, but I wouldn't mind another outfielder and a pitching upgrade.

this trade upgrades OF (beltran), but weakens pitching (ridding Morris for Westbrook)

I do not need Overbay, as I have Ortiz at first and am simply using him off and on at the UTIL spot.

morris is solid. it depends on your team and what you need etc... turnbow has been an awesome closer and westrbook has shown signs of brilliance despite being inconsistent.... and beltran might turn things around in the second half... who knows...

i personally don't value overbay that much and if your pitching staff is strong enough to compensate for the loss of morris then do it! beltran > overbay (assuming you have a replacement 1b)

I'm not the least bit concerned about losing Overbay.

I'm concerned about losing Morris.

My other pitchers --- Pedro, Maddux, Chris Young, Jarrod Washburn, Doug williams

I play in an 18 person head to head league, so the waiver wire is VERY thin

i'm mainly considering this because i believe Beltran is primed for a great 2nd half

I just got Turnbow and a few other players the other day.

But I also ignored my team for a few months, so I'm like 40+ games back. :D

my goal now: top 3. (there's only 4 people in my league, cause it's just with some family)

Beltran is STILL hurt! There will be no 2nd half turn around. If you're in a keeper league, save him for next year. If not, trade him away if you can get a solid, uninjured player in return.

If you're mainly doing it thinking it's a Morris for Beltran trade I wouldn't do it. I personally don't see Beltran changing anything around this season. However if you need to pick up some Saves in the meantime, it isn't a bad deal. It's a tough one for sure. Plus remember, you'd have to drop someone since it's a 3-2 trade. So figure you give up

Morris/Overbay/DroppedPlayer for Beltran/Turnbow/Westbrook --- It might look a little different.

Beltran is a gamble any way you slice it. He might ignite at any moment, but I wouldn't count on it. It's one of those "darned if you do, darned if you don't" situations. If you don't get him, he'll go on an absolute tear at the end of the season. If you get him, he'll bat .210 and hit maybe another 3 HRs, with a SB or two.

I wouldn't risk it.

If Overbay doesn't have much value to you, I'd say you should definitely go for it. Morris is clearly a better fantasy pitcher than Westbrook overall, especially if you need wins. However, Morris has had a couple of bad outings lately and there's a chance he might be starting to wear down. Westbrook, meanwhile, is a decent contributor to K's and WHIP, and would have more wins if he had better run support, especially earlier in the year. The Indians have a ton of games against the likes of Kansas City and Tampa Bay in the second half, so I think Westbrook's value will increase. Meanwhile, I think you are acquiring Beltran at a bargain price. His owner probably considers him a disappointment, but I agree that he is primed for a big second half. There is some risk there, but if he plays anything at all like he did last year down the stretch, you are getting an elite fantasy outfielder. Throw in Turnbow who has been absolutely lights out for an improved Brewer team, and I think you come out way ahead in this deal.
