I mean obviously these situations are bad for the people being profiled at the time that it's happening, but in the end is it better when these racists are exposed?

That's certainly a discussion to be had. This has been talked about in regard to various other topics. I genuinely don't know and I don't know what the data suggests. Simply put though, people like Sessions and Turmp think that as long as its out of sight, or you just don't call it what it is, that magically makes it not happening. That is absolutely the wrong way to go about things as it lets the problem actually run rampant and fester, you just don't do anything about it. My worry is that it will take catastrophic situations (yes, even worse than the ones we've seen) for something to break us out of this.

You put together a false narrative. This sort of stuff has always existed. It is social media and cell phones that have only just begun to expose America to the ugly reality of every day America. These are the "neighborly" and authoritarian police interactions citizens face across the nation. Some more than others, but we're all in this !@#$ together and it needs to end with reform.

Remember, swatting is a thing. Because the brats know calling the cops on someone is a good way to get them killed, no matter their color.
