YAET

i bought an mp3 player on ebay on july 15th. after 2 weeks of nothing, i emailed the seller asking for an update and got nothing. i emailed again the next week, still nothing. in the meantime, they started getting negative feedback, saying never received item. then last week i finally got an email back, stating he/she had a heart attack in mid/late july and has been in the hospital since. because of this, they couldnt ship anything so people started reporting them not received and now their paypal account is frozen, so they're having problems shipping and/or refunding.

so do i trust them and wait it out? how long should this take to resolve? or should i call their bluff and report them anyway?😕

Wait it out. This is not life or death. If they weren't on the up & up, you would never have got an e-mail response.

I'd still file a complaint, because if they do make it right, you can always retract it later. Better to file one now while you still can rather than be ripped off and past the limit for filing complaints.

well paypal protection is valid for 45 days after the auction... which would be around sept 1st. the issue is whether or not i should trust them for now and see if they actually do ship it anytime before then

Wow I've never seen "YAET" before. First thing that came to mind was "yet another Earth thread?" 😕
