YAET: My friggin eBay account was hacked!

Here's one of the items listed...

They listed a bunch of stupid sunglasses. They set my eBay billing to go to my old checking account (now defunct), and put "Paypal only" in the listing. But they didn't get into my paypal acct. Oh, and "view other items by this seller" returns zero.


I changed my passwords at both eBay and paypal, as well as the secret questions. I notified eBay too, (their live help was down so it went via email. sigh)

WTF?

If they couldn't get into my paypal acct, but only accept paypal, what exactly could they accomplish?

Wow. That was quick! They already cancelled the auctions and started the account recovery process. I'm impressed!

I have no idea. I use secure passwords, never mess with spoof emails, etc.

wrong, it was the same as mine. It's abcd1234. You know you have to have 8 letters shesh!
