YAET: Damn Seller sold me a "White PSP"

Seems like much ado over nothing. So it's a black unit with an accessory face plate, does not seem like a problem to me. Keep it, but sell the face plate. Who wants white anyway?

Why would anyone buy a PSP? 😕

SNES emulation. 😛

for real?

? I don't know. That was a big selling point when I was thinking about buying one. DS doesn't have a good SNES emulator yet as far as I know, otherwise that would be a cheaper solution. The other reason I was considering buying one is to watch videos. I ended up getting a Zen Vision W instead.

It seems the OP did, for whatever reason.

The PSP he got didn't even work, so that is a problem...

Im (trying) to play Super Mario World right now on my PSP. It runs pretty slow, but even worse it trying to play Mario Kart. I dont know if its the emulator, my settings, or what, but its worth it just for the GB/GBA/Homebrew stuff.

lol...it has a black joystick in the pic

😕

A Ceramic PSP has a white joystick. The PSP he received has a black one.

I know it's none of my business, but I e-mailed the seller because this thread made my blood boil.

It's not black in the original pic, only in the ones he took

I may have been too rash when I posted this thread, but I acted as soon as I found out what I got. And now, since I have the seller's attention, here's a little hint of why the unit MIGHT NOT BE WORKING:

the padded envelope
with the contents laid out in this manner...
...and did you honestly think that an envelope that's thinner than the ACTUAL unit would suffice in support!?

But it has a fragile stamp!

All the colored models are better than the standard black. The face buttons were re-molded and raised to fix the durability issue and thus SFA3 and Tekken are actually playable. Seeing that pic of the GT edition makes me want to replace the face buttons on mine for transparent but I really don't want to bust the warranty.

He is busted for fraud.

The pic he showed and what he sent are not the same.

In a similar case, judge judy awarded the plantiff 5000 grand.

In that case she sent a picture of the phone instead of the actual phone I believe. The $5000 is atypical, Judge Judy did that pretty much out of spite (the way those court shows work is that any money not awarded as a judgment is split between the two parties, so if the plaintiff got a judgment of $400, then they'd really get $400 + ($5000-$400)/2 = $2700, and the defendant would get $2300.

In any event, I hope the OP is able to recover his money through Paypal.

why do people continue to use Ebay? I closed my account about 4 months ago. It's just not worth the headache.

what headache? i've never had any problems like you guys always post about and i've been using it for years.
agreed.

PSP is awesome for Lumines... 'nuff said!

I've thought about actually installing a SNES emulator on it though... I kind of want to try the Gundam Wing fighter in a console setting. From some advice I got from a friend about SNES emulating on the PSP (he used to do it), you need to raise the clock of the PSP processor to make the games more fluid.
