YAET: Can the seller force me to buy this item

Scouzer

Okay, so I won this item

However, I have emailed the seller three times to no avail. I won this item well over a week ago. I want to leave negative feedback and buy off a different seller. He can't turn around next week with the information I requested, and force me to buy his item, right?

Yes, what he will do is come to your house with a baseball bat and beat the sh!t out of you and then take your money and toss the headphones on your corpse.

How can I move on from this auction and ensure I don't get negative feedback from this assclown who refuses to answer his emails?

And WTF M4H, I've given this bastard 8 days and 3 emails and not a word from him. I want these headphones. What am I supposed to do? He is clearly still active, he's been listing new items.

BOTTOM LINE::::

You can't ensure that you won't get a neg feed. And if he gives it to you, good luck trying to get it off.

Did you try "request an invoice" or whatever it is ebay offers for prodding the seller along? I think you'll get your headphones, his feedback is generally positive but does mention lack of communication
Excellent price, honest seller. Communication not strongest point. 8/10

It must be real hard to pay for the item and watch it arrive on your doorstep. Why in the world do you need to talk to him before you send payment?

Is it his scary feedback rating of 99.6%? Or could it be that you found it somewhere else cheaper?

Non-Paying Bidders make me sick.

Then just buy off of someone else. 8 days of no contact is horrible, IMO, and I'm a very active eBay seller and sell more items at a time than this guy. Although I don't understand why you need to contact him before paying, but it's still pretty rude and strange to not answer a bidder's emails.

Don't leave him any negative feedback and he probably won't leave you any negative feedback.

If your English skills are as strong in email as they are on forums, maybe that's the weak link right there. Your original post says: "I bought Item X, now I want to leave a negative and buy Item Y." That makes you = NPB.

Now if it had said "I have tried to contact the seller to send shipping info/address/add insurance/etc because I STILL WANT TO BUY THE ITEM" then there's no communications breakdown.

His feedback indicates he has communication issues. He also stated that he has an 800 number.

You should have two ebay accounts one as a buyer and one as a seller that way you can leave the negitive with out it effect you at all because when buying feedback means nothing.

He uses ebay checkout feature I believe. Ebay has made it clear that the seller need not communicate payment details if checkout is enabled -- all the payment info will be in there.

Yes it does. Anyone with a - overall isn't coming anywhere near my auctions, or those of the thousands of others who work the same way, and payment from 0-feedbackers gets a good once-over with a fine-toothed comb.

You used "Buy It Now" and then asked questions?
Pay the man his money and re-sell them. You risk A NPB alert.
Ask questions first. Using "Buy It Now" commits you to buy it.

So bidding is only a contract if you chose to honor it. Personal I see nothing wrong with not pay after bidding on an item if the seller doesn't have to sell after I bid on an item.
