I think the important thing to really see here is the level of expectations. Newegg, whether they like it or not, are competing against others, notably Amazon. Amazon has made their Prime shipping service an actual consideration when choosing to shop -- when they give that deliver by date, you know it will be there. Here is their holiday shipping schedule -- we still have until midnight EST for one day shipping with Prime :D.

If Newegg can't figure out problems that might involve Masterpass, they shouldn't partner with them. If Newegg can't ship stuff out promptly, and then choose UPS Ground when using Shoprunner and its supposed 2-Day delivery, don't use them. Because right now, I have an expectation of what that means, and they aren't hitting it.

(I fondly remember the days of blazing fast order processing and Fedex Super Saver shipping)

Yep, troll post.

Not a troll post. I have not had a problem like this in any of my orders and I have ordered heavily online for over a decade now.

It's clear the same people here have problem after problem with many things though in life.

To me when you keep having problems with everyone, the problem is you.

Even the music book I ordered Friday with one day shipping arrived here today.

The body lotion I ordered (not for a Christmas gift, but for my Fiancee's normal daily ritual) last week will not be until an 'estimated' 30th delivery. It was not on prime and I did not choose to rush it, as she still is not out of it.

I am sure the latter order would be a major issue to some of those above.

My question is "Why not just stop using Newegg?"

Problem solved.

You keep mixing between Amazon and newegg. If you're going to continue to troll, at least try to be consistent :) And since you've proven multiple times that reading comprehension is not your strong suit, I'll point to the thread title to answer your question. At first I was trying to figure out where you got the idea of me having trouble with everyone then I remembered you're just trolling as usual. Got any new Diesel jeans lately? :D

I was speaking about my last order which was from Amazon. I also order from Newegg although rarely are they the price leader. I have already mentioned I know well enough Shop Runner wasn't a smart choice.

Then again, I have all my items for Christmas here and wrapped and almost all of them were ordered online.

Because I am smarter, doesn't make me a troll.

cliff notes:
Laptop ive been wanting comes back in stock finally
Add to card
sign in so I can use the masterpass coupon they advertise on their website
add coupon
proceed to checkout
choose masterpass as the payment method
create account on masterpass and add a credit card
come back to newegg and try to complete checkout
says I need to relog back onto shop runner
re-log back onto shoprunner and then have to go through all of the above again (minus the masterpass account creation). finish checkout
2 minutes later, email saying payment declined
spend almost 20 minutes trying to figure out how to change the payment method. get nowhere
try to call up newegg, hold time of 40 minutes estimated
do an online chat
CSR on online chat says she can't fix the payment method and tells me to cancel my order and try again
login to masterpass and change the credit card to one that I know works
repeat steps (incluing having to relog back onto shoprunner)
2 minutes later, email saying payment declined with no details
bullet to head
Recover from bullet to head, login to amazon, see they pricematched newegg (minus the 10% coupon), place order from amazon, laptop will be here Tuesday.

super cliff notes:
fuck newegg. Their service has gone to complete and utter shit.

Hi OP,

We're very sorry to hear that you experienced problems with your order. Newegg cannot decline payment authorizations; we can only send the funds authorization request to the card-issuing bank. We would have to take a look into the transaction to provide more accurate details.

If there is anything we can do to help, please email us your account info to Wecare@newegg.com. We will be happy to look into this and assist you in any way we can.

We look forward to hearing from you.

If my shoprunner wasn't free via AMEX, I'd not pay for it. It's definitely not worth it to me at this point since they never hit the 2 day delivery and often go as long as newegg's terrible free super saver shipping.

Have you or anyone else ever be successful with this process? My understanding was that the free Shoprunner benefits only applied when the purchase was made with the registered AMEX. Gut tells me the trouble you were having was trying to use a AMEX benefit while paying with a MasterCard.

I'd like to know why you guys shipped my order out via ground instead of the 2 day shoprunner? My order is taking 4 business days to arrive.

That's what it's appearing like, people are trying to double dip in a system that is very specific.

I thought you were gonna say that the item went out of stock while you were dealing with your wonderful service people @ newegg.

Yeah, that would have been funnier.

Masterpass doesnt care what payment you use. I used my Amex with Masterpass and got the discount. I didnt have Shoprunner set up with my Amex though, so I dont know if that had anything to do with his problem.

You're a butthead alkemyst, but I have to totally agree with you.

(sidenote. Have a Merry Christmas dude! But, You're still a doodiehead.)

Sunday afternoon. ~04:00 Pacific.

My parent's had a "warned/alerted/scheduled" brownout due to some unforeseen circumstance. It was pretty cool of the local Utility Co. to phonecall a heads up that power was going to be down for about an hour to their house. So props to Southern California Edison for letting them know.

My parent's NETGEAR Wx?x12345? wireless router was roughly about 7-9 yrs old and was hissing. It was on its last legs. (Yeah, it was my old one.) That brownout killed it, when it wasn't powered on for that hour.

Anyways...

Sunday afternoon killed their router, my parent's told me about it, went on Newegg.com, ordered a NETGEAR WNR2000 and it got to my parent's house on Tuesday at noon. Now my parent's have Wi-Fi internet access.

So thanks much Newegg!

My shoprunner service was initially paid for (not AMEX), however, I was advised by shoprunner to enter my AMEX to get the benefit that way rather than renewing. IMHO, if Newegg can't honor the two day delivery via shoprunner, they need to stop advertizing it as an available service. IMHO, the way I attain the shoprunner service is irrelevant when it comes to shopping at Newegg.
I'd like to know why you guys shipped my order out via ground instead of the 2 day shoprunner? My order is taking 4 business days to arrive.
I can tell you why they shipped ground. It's cheaper and UPS estimates (but does not guarantee) two day delivery. Newegg will obviously blame it on UPS instead of admitting they are being cheap.

Slow processing and ground shipping is the fundamental problem with Newegg and shoprunner currently. When they ship ground instead of a proper 2 day service coupled with their current extremely slow processing time for an order, delivery can take more than seven business days!!!!

On my last few orders, they took three days to process the order then 4 days or more to deliver via ground. Why are they shipping ground instead of a proper 2 day delivery service? Had I paid for overnight shipping I would be furious if they took 3 days to process the order. Funny they take days to process an order but a mere few minutes to process the payment.

Up until recently, I had nothing but great things to say about Newegg. Never an issue with them, shoprunner or anything. Now it seems my orders are getting delayed more and more, their costs are going up and up and their service is declining. As I stated before, if this is their new business model, I'll spend my money elsewhere.

I was speaking to my father tonight and he had an issue with Victoria Secret and a pajama set for one of our relatives. He ordered everything around the 15th and everything showed as in stock and estimated delivery in 5-7 days. Everything shipped within 3 days and arrived about three days later except the pajamas.

When everything had shipped and the pajamas weren't given a tracking number he called. Instead of being concerned the CSR kept repeating 'they'd ship in 5-7 days'. He finally escalated it, but it was to an email box.

Last week a manager called him Monday and told him they'd be shipping out another set with a return label for when the delayed package comes. This was to arrive today, and they did at about 6pm. The original set have still not arrived and still do not show as shipped. The manager was going to look into it and the CSR should have already opened an internal ticket about it.
