Playing around with a calc that kind of looks like this.. http://www.lssproducts.com/images/6638.jpg

But I'm not sure what the % button does. I thought it was for remainders like it'd be used in C++, but no matter what I type in, like 10, %, 3, =, nothing comes up.

10% = .1

Look up modulo.

Look up modulo.

If you read the OP he knows what modulo is. That's what it's usually for, but he said himself that it didn't perform mod. My guess is that the calculator isn't working.

EDIT: just read a few of the below posts, oops Should have realized what it was doing.

You would use it like: 100 - 10 % (button) = 90.

Okay so it seems like before you use the % thing, you have to perform a multiplication or division function first.

Typing in 2, /, 1, % results in 200..or 2*1*100, hitting it again brings up 20000, and then 2000000.

3, /, 1, % brings up 150, and then 7500, and then 375000..or 3 * 50, * 50, * 50, etc...

1, *, 3, %, brings up .03, .0003, .000003..
