YADT: think my date went well?

alright, so ive known this girl since 5th grade, and weve always talked and been good friends (in school this is) . this year I finally asked if she wanted to go somewhere outside of school. She agreed, and it was decided we would go Lasertagging and bowling at this funcenter near my house. So I called the lasertag center, and they said that they have a "fire till you tire" special that runs until 11 at night on saturdays, where its one flat fee for infinite lasertag games. Sounded like a deal to me, so i said I would pick her up at 5:30 on saturday.

So, at like 4:00, i was getting both nervous and anxious, but I was able to supress those for the most part. I picked her up at 5:30, and we drove to the funcenter (about a 20 minute drive) and talked about little trivial things, but we were both laughing which is good i suppose. Then we finally get to the fun center, and I go up to the counter and ask what time the firetillyoutire starts, and found out it didnt start until 9. bleh. it was like 6:30. So we then went upstairs and played 3 games of bowling, that took about an hour, which was really fun for the both of us I think.

Then, at like 7:30, we were kindof outta ideas of what to fill time with, so we both got back in my car and drove back where we came from. There was probably a good maybe 5 or so minutes of awkward "i dont know what the hell were going to do" silence, then we started talking about random things some more. Finally, without really thinking about it, I had drove back to her house, and stopped the car. We said our goodbyes, i said i was sorry that I didnt read up more on the starting time, and she said that "well know you'll know for next time".

Then she got out of the car. it was like 8. the whole thing took only 2hours and 15 minutes! Think it had a good outcome? I dunno, felt to short for me, and now im here at home ona saturday night with nothing to do.

If you can't decide for yourself whether it went well (did you enjoy it?) maybe you wanna hold off on the dating for a while.

if you werent a cheap ass it woulda gone better.

Actually i'm gonna take that back cuz laser tag is super gay and unbearable in large doses.

salvage the night. perhaps she is sitting at home also, call her up and take the advice of other posters, ask her if she wants to grab a bite to eat or if she already ate dinner, if she wants to go get some ice cream.

Second that. I'd call her up right now and take her out somewhere. Even if she's already eaten, you can take her to some place for something small and ice cream to top it off. How about a movie?

I would say wait til next weekend or something. You don't want to look desparate or obsessive.

lol... id make it up some other time too. but now you can go laser tagging by yourself. 😀

Should of went back to your place to show her the funky movies on your pc or so. People like seeing funny clips and such. I'm sure you have a bunch of them.

Or should have went with the idea of taking her out to an ice cream place.

Good idea, although since we are both 17, her parents are fairly uptight about what time at night she comes home. On what day should I call her back asking for another date to go out? (im fairly new to this whole 'dating' thing)

k wtf i posted a reply w/ nothing in it the first time.

anyhow, my dear, if you have to wonder, then it didn't go well.

Hmmm... well it all really depends on how much workload the two of you have during the week

I'd call her on the phone right now and talk for some time, girls can talk for a long time..., and ask her what she's doing this week in the talk. Plan it out for a day when she won't have to rush her homework or something, maybe the best day will be next friday.
