I'm buying a laptop for a 3 month trip to London over the summer. I've got piss poor credit, but Dell approved me for 1500. I chose Dell for the price and because I could not only get a kickass video card, but a screen with more than 1024 resolution for less than 2500 bucks. The laptop I wanted was 1954 out the door. I have saved up more than enough to cover the rest via credit card, check card, check, cash, whatever. But they won't do their credit and my payment combo. So rather than gain a sale, they lose one. I think they've got their head screwed on backwards.
What happened to the Dell I used to know and love?

Update
Someone suggested that I just go ahead and try to place an order online. I did and it went through but has been in the Order Processing stage since the 30th. Think I'll get it?
