I stole this from another forum, but it's a clever idea and it would get more answers here. All of us have occasionally lent stuff to our dates or gf's or left stuff at their place of residence, and they have done the same for us. Occasionally when a fight or breakup occurs, things tend to get left behind or lost. What have been some of your asset gains/losses?

The ones I can remember:

losses:

at least 4 hoodies (I don't know why they always steal the gd hoodies)
1 hat
1 cell phone charger
south park season 4 DVD
donnie darko DVD
my roomates book that I borrowed from him and then lent to my gf, don't remember the name of it but it was by cervantes
2 toothbrushes
a few CD's that I didn't really like anyways
I'm sure I lost a few socks at some point too

gains:
forrest gump DVD
2 bracelets (one goldish one and one stringy artsy one)
some underwear (female...thrown out promptly...pervs)
lip balm (not thrown out, it was actually REALLY nice...call me gay)

That's pretty much all I remember...seems like I kinda got the shaft, although I make an effort to return stuff to the exes. All that stuff I kept besides the underwear was from one breakup, the only bad one I've had.

I never really gave my GF's much of anything, course I havent really kept a girl around for over 1 month, with the exception of 1. She lasted 6 month and gave me Sin City, The Butterfly Effect, a cell phone and a bunch of small things which escape my mind. She liked to spend money for no reason so there were alot of random things. Course she was a nutjob, but thats a different thread.

Hmm, there were 2 video games I kinda inadvertantly stole from her. Devil May Cry 3 and somethin else.

~100k frequent flyer mileage, + premiere exec status on united from flying back and forth to see her? - not too shabby 🙂 been upgraded more times than i can count
ALL SIX SEASONS OF SEX AND THE CITY ON DVD - $200 ?
my 42" panasonic hdtv plasma, her contribution to 'furnishing the new apt'. - 3k msrp?
lotsa memories, we went on vacation for a week out of every 2 months during the 2 years we were together. - priceless


pretty fair trade, i guess. we had a good time, but like they say- all good things come to an end. mutual split, we both have new SOs, happier than ever.
