2001 Gran Prix

1-4 on the fan dial went out about 3 weeks ago

5 went out today


fuse? could 1-4 be on a sparate fuse then 5?

Note: The air conditioner light is on whenever the fan is set to 1-5, so it knows it's on.
 
Sounds like a resistor block to me...

For future clarification sake, that isn't your air conditioning fan. I'd use cabin fan, interior fan, or blower motor.

Yup, sounds like the blower resistor.
That's why you were able to get 5 (no resistance) and not 1-4.

Relatively cheap part, that's easy to replace, if you can get to it 😉
