YACT: Yep, the STI is a FAST car.

I was cruising to work today and found a speeding buddy in a WRX STI. We were following each other along through traffic and at one point he had a small opening and punched it. He went from 70 to a lot faster instantly and *poof* was gone. I had down shifted and had the rpms at 5000 and he still blew me away. My 200HP V6 was nothing...

edit: Maybe it's another reason not to get an EVO RS...

Yes, they are quick! A guy at my old work had a blue one. He had aftermarket exhaust but besides that it was a stock 6 speed. He ran consistent 13.3s / 13.4s. That's fast =)

I was passed by a guy in a WRX who was pissed at me for taking an exit ramp faster than he could manage the other day. I think he was upset that my crappy 89 Sunbird could corner better than he could, so as soon as we got on open road, he punched it. I got up to 60, and he passed me like I was standing still and was gone in a matter of seconds. Too bad there weren't any cops around...

An Evo without the godawful spoiler is my dream car atm...

I know they don't make them, but an STI wagon without the hood scoop would be the ultimate sleeper....

that is definitely a nice car.
not a fan of the regular WRX unless it's modded.. but the STi is badass.
part of me though still likes the 350Z/G35C more.
