I'd split the difference and go with a pre-owed certified '01 or higher Pathfinder.

Isn't Isuzu pulling out of the US pretty soon? If that's the case, I'd go with the Nissan so you don't get left holding the bag.

Just between those 2, Xterra for sure...

Have you seen how much the resale value drops on those Isuzu? and I trust Nissan's reliability better than Isuzu...

I seem to recall reading this on a car forum. I may be wrong though, so I'd take this with a grain of salt. ::shrug::

I say Axiom...

Its got better mileage per gallon, better towing capacity and its quieter..

The xterra is a bitch.. it feels very unstable.. the flex chassis can be a bitch it feels like the sinking titanic.

I have a '95 Isuzu Rodeo and it's a horse. The thing has had no problems except an Alternator recall in '98. Performance and reliability is great.

Downside: Isuzu IS pulling out soon... (GM owns a part of them, actually). I'd go with another brand because of that alone.

Upside: Great 4WD's, Torque-On-Demand (TOD) system.

BTW: THe Vehicross production line was stopped in '01. I wish they would've produced the VX-4... (full-size Vehicross) - now that thing was beautiful on paper. Did you see the futuristic vehicle at the beginning of Mission To Mars? That was a prototype OX2 convertible that never made it to market either. :( They just came out with an Ascender though... looks decent. But again, I wouldn't buy a product that won't be supported in the foreseeable future.

Here's a forum to help you decide: http://www.4x4wire.com/forums/categories.php?Cat=

R.I.P. Isuzu.

Not sure about that, but I know I read about it somewhere. Official? Maybe the guys here would know.
