YACT: Would you buy the new 2004 Lexus RX 330?

Since I would never offroad and want a luxury Camry on stilts, YES.

I'd also consider the Acura MDX (when will it be redesigned?) and Nissan/Infiniti.

No... A. not an SUV fan for a few reasons (I prefer something small and nimble)
B. Its out of my price-range
C. even if I were to get an SUV, there are others I'd rather have.

Rossman,

I ain't in the market for a car just yet. Was wondering how people think of this SUV. In addition, I like the idea of a camry on AWD offroad idea. 😀

I've always loved the Lexus RX300, the new RX330 looks a little beefier so if I had the cash to blow I'd do some serious research, take a few test drives then buy one.

Then I'd see it for $500 less 3 weeks later and throw a fit!

😀

I wouldn't buy it personally, mainly because I don't need that type of vehicle. If I was looking for a entry-luxo SUV, it would certainly be on my list. My gf's parents have an RX300 which they really like.

I don't like the rear styling of the RX330, though.

My parents had an RX300 which I thought was a great car. Excellent ride, good feel, build quality...all that good Lexus stuff. If I were in that market I'd probably by the 330 - I like the features like the adaptive lighing and laser-guided cruise control, not to mention the sub-8 second 0-60.

No. If I need a station wagon, I'll get one of the "R" Volvo wagons. If I need a truck, I'll get an F-250 or an F-350. If I need a hybrid that doesn't function particularly well as a wagon or as a truck, then I might consider something like the Lexus.
