i bought my chevy prizm in 2002. the oem wpers that cme w/the car is finally dying on me. i can now see streaks. (not bad for 2 years)

when i had my sentra, i tried various replacement wipers, and none seem to last more than 6 months before it starts streaking. the only one i remember using is Arco.

so any recommendations of which wipers to buy that wont break down in 6 months?

I like my Bosch wipers. Lasted over a year now. Of course I don't use them often, what with the Rain-X and all.

I think they design them to last only 6 months. Plus cold weather and ice and snow (if applicable to you) also shorten their lifespan. I would recommend ones with silicone in them. I think my RainX brand ones have it. I installed some on my wife's Accord last week, we'll see how long they last. They're expensive, but they glide on the windshield.

I had some that had some sort of covering for it (just black rubber/plastic) that went over the entire blade up to the hinge... worked quite well for even Buffalo winters. Helps to keep the blade from wearing easier when wiping snow I suppose.

I don't know if snow falls in Micronesia though.

I like Bosch blades. They seem to hold up the best for me, and clean better than most, too. I have them on both of my cars.

Those triple blade wipers are awesome. Forget who makes them though. They also work great in snow even though they are not "winter wipers"

Bosch is pricey ($12 per wiper) but it wipes the best.
Don't skimp on a safety by getting crappy $5 blades that leaves streaks and is unusable after a couple of months.
