And I couldn't imagine a la-z-boy in my car, I'd fall asleep at every red light.

But the question thats being ensued is why do you laugh at them for it? Are you that shallow? Alas they may be shallow for doing such things 'pointlessly' but its theirs and they might do with it what they will. Makes them feel good I spose. But should you stoop to such a low as to be so shallow to laugh at it?

That is truly my only pet peeve in this world.

lol... I cant help but laugh at the crooked hat thing as well.

Mandos, here is on pic of the Bus at a campsite, for some reason I am having trouble uploading pics today 😕

I bought this particular Bus in 2000, it's a full camper (Westphalia).

Because I find it funny and because I could beat them in a quarter mile on a skateboard. It's ironic that you won't leave me alone for not leaving them alone... You Christian/Catholic, by chance? 😉

So what is it like being up on the high horse and down in the mud at the same time?

Actually, come to think of it, a lazyboy would be quite comfortable!!!

*ponders*

Nothing new, I installed one in my '74 bus when I first bought it, it consumed an awful lot of room so I removed it.

Sheer brilliance 🙂
Can't wait 'til I finally get a Westy. Eventually I'd like to take a splitty and graft the pop-top from a 74+ onto it (along with the engine/tranny from a 78/79). I just like the looks of the splitties much more.

No, I'm not religious in any facet.

If you think this is a sh!tty country, try living anywhere else...

Well, to his defense, he could have been referring to another country like Iraq.

I just don't trust those Civic drivers though! 😛

Ah, that explains it. I thought he was another one of those angry American urban youths. You know, the ones who where black trenchcoats and Army boots in the middle of summer when it's 90+ degrees outside? 😀

This is America. If you want to bolt a freakin' Lazyboy in there, then more power to you. Judging other people's choices like this tells me more about you than it does about the guy with the Sparcos. When you start making this guys car payments, then you can decide what his car should look like. Until then you're just a bitch.
Until you pay for my internet connection, you can't judge what I post, bitch!

I guess I missed the part where this "ricer" asked for your opinion.

P.S. This is America is just a figure of speech meant to convey the fact that it's a free country. It's got nothing to do with patriotism other than to indicate that people are free to do what they want.

EDIT: TechnoKid--No logical statements allowed!! 😀

Sparco seat are often more comfortable and have much better lumbar support than factory seats. Thats part of the reason I would get them.

Since they support you better, they are much better for spirited driving (like in the mountains on twisty roads), or say if you are a competitive person in the SCCA, either in autocross or roadracing at places like Buttonwillow. Sitting the correct way and whatnot in your seat can have a lot to do with how well you can drive your car. You don't want to be slipping 'round in your seat when doing the slalom.

Finally a real post (TechnoKid).

Not everyone who mods their car is a ricer. If it were a ricer, they would probably get $200 APC seats, not extremely expensive Sparcos. Race seats support you MUCH MUCH better which helps a hell of a lot if you autocross, road race, or drive in the mountains. I drive in the mountains very often and I can say my seats blow. It's much nicer when you don't have to lean across the car before taking a turn. 4 point harness enhances this effect.

Furthermore, they weigh a lot less than some stock seats, as well as looking much better and being much more comfortable.

Way to throw this thread off topic.

Edit: Civics handle very well with upgrades, as do many cars, thus the need for more support while turning.

Well, if it is a weekend warrior car that I can understand. The stock 92 Civic seats aren't very supportive nor bolster you well. But I owned a 92 Civic sedan, it would take a lot of work before a car like that can be taken to a road course. Also, you don't need racing seats to be competitive in autoX. If you're sliding around, a strap or harness ($40-80) is much cheaper than a $800 seat that costs nearly as much as your car!

Torinos don't save that much weight over stockers... especially fabric stock seats with no power adjustment. If they wanted weight-savings, they would have went with a non-adjustable seat with a light composite shell. Something like an FIA-approved OMP or Sparco or Bride or Corbeau or etcetcetc.

I realize that you could just buy a harness, however, some regulations in certain racing leagues prohibit the use of a harness unless you have certain seats so the harness can go through the headrest/back of seat in a certain manner. Also the manufacturer of the harness usually reccomends against installing these harnesses in any manner other than specified by them.

Many stock seats do have the proper headrest style to use, but also another thing to remember is that you either have to attach or anchor the harness to a rollbar or to the top mount of the rear seatbelts. The rear anchor should be as level as possible.

The civic seats from 92-95 if i recall had the headreast mounted on one side using a single arm type of thing. You cannot install a harness on these stock seats because the harness would slide around where the harness goes through the headrest mount.

A lot of human actions seem like they have no purpose. Why do people water cool their computers to gain an advantage that will probably never get much use anywya. Why do we have spoilers on front wheel drive cars. Human emotion is not rational or mathematic. When people start understanding that they can stop getting so angry at some dude who wants to put a type R sticker on his station wagon

Properly modded (not riced), a Civic can be a hell of a little autocross demon. And in that case, you're gonna want better seats.
Not every modded import on the road is a ricer. Some of them have tasteful, properly done mods, and are quite fast (if not in a straight line then through the corners).
In the sport compact world, a ricer is some punk kid who does everything the wrong way, usually the "ghetto" way. And because he wants to be cool, not because he loves his car or loves driving. And like an idiot, he races the street, and not the track where he should.
Otherwise, modding is just a matter of enjoying your car. A hobby like any other. If you can afford it, more power to ya (although I do agree that neon and graphics are in very poor taste).

Thus usage of a strap for autoX. I could understand a bit more if the Civic had work done to warrant the seats (engine and suspension work). But for a stock Civic to have Sparcos in it just doesn't make sense. You can't road race it, the wheels would prolly just pop out on the first corner... and if you're autoXing it, it makes NO sense to class yourself in the "I've got 10K in mods" autoX classes just for the race seat (at least in SCCA Solo2). So... I think we have a ricer as an owner.

BAHAHAHAHA

That's beyond the stone wall you bafoon ! 😛

That's Housatonic state park by the way.

If you had seen the inside of the Bus, you would not call it brilliance, absolutely no room left to do anything except recline 😛

You would have to convert the gear reduction boxes on the splitty, driving around with a top speed of 55 is no fun.

you would be in STS class or STX if you had aftermarket seats like sparcos that reclined. STS can get pretty competitive, so yeah, i would not put on seats to an otherwise stock car unless I had some mods like at least suspension work.
