Already tried and its not correct. I'll rather pay the small amount and have them done properly. Might even take to a dealership and have them put it on a machine. I have a hid conversion setup and its not blinding other drivers, but its sure not aimed properly b/c i still can't see for ******. The closest place next to me is BODY shop and i doubt they do headlight adjustments. Than i have the ****** ran down garage repair shops.. than i have jiffy lubes and ****** which i doubt deals with headlight adjustments.

They'll do what you can do yourself and then charge you $100.

This is why HID conversions suck--the auto-leveling ballasts on factory installs are pretty crucial to not only preventing oncoming traffic from being blinded, but also to keeping usable light on the road so you aren't in the dark yourself.

It doesn't sound like you did the conversion yourself--take it back to where it was done?

And never underestimate *any* vehicle repair place (body shop / gas station / jiffy lube)'s willingness to dick around with it for a while at their hourly rate and act like they can help, regardless of if it's something they "do" or "don't do". lol

Ya, i did the whole install myself. Its not my first time doing my headlights on my car so it was simple. I do have projector headlights and theres a cutoff line is there. Heres a picture i took comparing the halogen vs 5000K hid http://i10.tinypic.com/3z1wm68.jpg

I called around to acouple Midas and some say they can do it while others say they cant. I might just take it to dealer since its the same setup as the stock lights.

if you have retrofit hids on reflector housings, with a US beam pattern, good luck not blinding oncoming traffic.

The reason you can't get it adjusted right is because of the reflector and the type of bulb you are using. The arc that creates the light in HIDs is much different than regular bulbs, so the way they reflect light won't be the same, therefore throwing off the light produced. E-coded patterns help since they are made to throw more light on to the road in front of you, but still not the perfect answer.

With that said, I have HID drop ins, in my ecoded headlights and they work great. i also have them adjusted as much as i can in hopes of not blinding oncoming traffic.
