'00 Accord 4 cyl
Automatic: : 23 mpg / 30 mpg

Best I could find on the Impala was the Gran Prix w/ the base 3.4L
Automatic: : 20 mpg / 29 mpg

'00 Camry Camry 4cyl
Automatic: : 23 mpg / 30 mpg

And I can tell you from personal experience that the base 3.4L in the GM products would be VERY VERY hard up to get those milage figures while the 4 cyls in the imports are pretty dead on.

I went with an 01 impall for mpg. For some reason there isn't any listed at edmunds for the 00. Even if you do get 2mpg or so less I would gladly trade it for the 50 more hp and ft-lbs of torque. Thats not as important to some people though.

The power windows, locks, and a/c are nice too 🙂.

Every camry LE since '92 (I think) has had power windows & doors standard. Same with AC AFAIK. Same with the Honda Accord LX (and higher trim EX) which probably account for over 90% of all accord sales.

autotrader has a lot of dealers selling on it, so most prices are overstated by quite a bit over what they'd actually sell for. and how did you find the average price?

hell, this is the first 2002 altima
2002 Nissan Altima SE $27995
wtf would pay more for a used altima than a new one?

Look at the bottom of the results page and it tells average price + some other stuff.
