get a bigger down payment, then get the 3. heh. but from a financial standpoint, you're better off w/ the civic. I said 3 because I got one.. but didn't notice your financing options.

the civic is going to cost about 2 thousand dollars less than the Mazda 3 (the only other option, in my book), keep its value better, and be more reliable.

NO BRAINER.

You're spending 20K on these cars? $270-300 a month at 60 months? WTF?

Why don't you just get Mazda 6, Hyundai Sonata v6, 4 banger accord coupe, etc?

6 isn't as fun to drive, nor is an accord. sonata... eh.. i'm still not sold on them yet. but of course, it all depends on the OP's priorities.

We have a 2005 Aveo.

It's a pretty nice car, and you can get some speed with it (We've gotten ours up to 180kph (~110mph) before).

If you're looking for power, look for a 2001 or under Swift (2001 was the last year for the older ones). They've got more power than the Aveos.

Definitely a more upscale feeling car than an Echo, at least last time I was able to ride in those cars. Good to hear the purchasing process was quick and painless, as opposed to all the runaround and crap you got from the Toyota dealer. Pics when it arrives!
